Daiwa engineers have honed in on casting distance when designing the new Tatula Elite reel, on the advice of Daiwa ambassadors on the American BassMaster circuit. This collaboration has taken the coupling of SV and TWS technologies to new heights. The SV concept matches the inertia of the spool to the weight of the lure and the power of the cast. When the spool slows down, the magnetic field strengthens in order to control the cast and guide the lure gently onto the surface. With a ultralight SV spool and TWS pick-up (which changes position for the cast and retrieve), this reel will let you punch anything out to range, from big swimbaits to tiny lures. Offering an even slimmer body than the Tatula SV TW and a tough, reliable internal mech that is more than a match for big pike. What's more, the Zaion carbon star braking system boasts a small, pre-programmed adjustment mech in aluminium. This means that only the magnetic braking system is used to optimise the cast.
